Ernest Jones, who played football at Hudson Valley in 2002 and 2003, was selected by the Cologne Centurions in the 2007 NFL Europe Free Agent Draft.
Jones, a defensive tackle, was a two-time All-Northeast Football Conference selection at Hudson Valley. Following his time in Troy, he became an All-Ohio Valley Conference selection at Tennessee State University and was in training camp with the Detroit Lions last summer.
Cologne plays its first game against Hamburg on Sunday, April 1.
