The Hudson Valley Community College (4-2) football team is ranked No. 16 in the latest NJCAA Division I poll.
The Vikings shutout Morrisville State College, 14-0, last Saturday, October 8, and will host Alfred State College (3-3) at 1 p.m. this Saturday, October 15. It is the final home game of the season for Hudson Valley.
Hudson Valley's defense is allowing only 161.5 yards per game, which ranks fifth in the country and is tops in the Northeast Football Conference. Sophomore linebacker John Fuschino (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa High School) leads the team with 54 tackles. Freshman defensive end Chuck Valente (Wynantskill/Troy High School) tops the conference with three forced fumbles and has contributed 20 tackles.
