Three Hudson Valley Community College student-athletes have been named to the 2004-05 Northeast Football Conference All-Academic Team, which was announced this week.
The conference recognized offensive linemen Terrence Bynum (Brooklyn/Abraham Lincoln High School) and Chris Schaefer (Coxsackie/Coxsackie-Athens High School), and defensive back Patrick Emmanuel (Boston, MA/Brockton High School). All three student-athletes had better than a 3.3 cumulative grade point average.
Bynum, who will play football at RPI in the fall, and Schaefer also were recently named NJCAA Academic All-Americans with cumulative grade point averages above a 3.6
Hudson Valley finished the 2004 season with an 8-3 record and their third conference title in the last four years. The Vikings will open the 2005 campaign on Sunday, September 4 against Hartwick JV in Oneonta.
