Jonal Saint-Dic (Elizabeth, NJ/Elizabeth High School), who recently completed his sophomore season on the Hudson Valley Community College football team, has been named a Second Team All-American defensive end by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). He also garnered Third Team All-American honors from JC-Gridwire, which recognizes student-athletes from the NJCAA and the more than 70 colleges in the Community College League of California.
Saint-Dic, who also was named the Northeast Football Conference's Defensive Player of the Year following the season, led the conference with 11.5 sacks and six forced fumbles. He was third on the team with 77 tackles, including a conference-high 28 stops behind the line of scrimmage.
Saint-Dic finished his two-year career at Hudson Valley with 118 tackles and a school-record 21 sacks.
Hudson Valley completed the 2004 campaign ranked 20th in the final NJCAA poll with an 8-3 record. The Vikings have won four of the last five NJCAA Region III championships and three of the last four Northeast Football Conference titles.
