Hudson Valley Community College freshman kicker/punter Bobby Collett (Middletown/Goshen High School) has been named the Northeast Football Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for the period ending November 7. This is the third time this season he has won the award.
Collett connected on all six extra point attempts and made field goals from 22 and 23 yards away in Hudson Valley's 48-0 win over Union JV on Sunday, November 7. He also averaged 35.7 yards per punt.
Collett is the leading scorer among kickers in the conference with 46 points. He has made six field goals and 28 extra points. He also is second in the conference in punting, averaging 35.7 yards per punt.
Hudson Valley (7-3/5-2 NFC) will play at Erie Community College at noon on Saturday, November 13 in the conference championship game.
