Hudson Valley Community College sophomore defensive back Damion Malott (Akron, OH/Akron North High School) has been named the Northeast Football Conference's Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, September 26, 2004.
Malott recorded 13 tackles and an interception in Hudson Valley's 24-21 loss at 15th-ranked Nassau Community College on Saturday, September 25.
Hudson Valley (2-2) will host Erie Community College at noon on Saturday, October 2. Erie is ranked No. 8 in the latest NJCAA poll.
