Former Hudson Valley Linebacker to Appear on TV Tonight

In what the Ottawa Sun describes as possibly "the most compelling game played in the second week of July the Canadian Football League has ever known," the undefeated Ottawa Renegades travel to meet the defending Grey Cup champion Montreal Alouettes at 7 p.m. tonight.

Kelly Wiltshire

The game, which includes former Hudson Valley linebacker Kelly Wiltshire, will be broadcast locally on the Madison Square Garden Network and the Empire Sports Network.

Wiltshire, who played at Hudson Valley in 1992 before transferring to James Madison University, is a two time CFL East Division All-Star. He finished sixth in the league last year with 79 tackles, and has 11 stops and one interception through three games this year.

Described as the CFL's Ironman, Wiltshire has not missed a regular season game in eight seasons (129 consecutive games). He wears No. 1 for the Renegades.

Ottawa is only in its third season as a franchise in the CFL, and is tied for first in the East Division with a 3-0 record. Montreal and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats also sport a perfect mark through three games.
