Freshman Emmanuel Marc (Spring Valley, NY/Spring Valley) rushed 29 times for 163 yards and one touchdown but it wasn't enough as Hudson Valley (3-4, 2-3 Northeast Football Conference) fell at Alfred State College 33-21 on Saturday, October 19. The Vikings were unable to overcome four turnovers including three inside their own eight yard line.
Marc averages 116.9 yards rushing per game to lead the NFC. He has amassed over 100 yards in three of the last four games and is averaging 153.5 yards per game over that time frame.
Mike Miller (Akron, OH/Firestone), John Howell (Columbia, SC/Lower Richland) and Francis Brown (Camden, NJ/Camden) spearhead a defense that is allowing only 192.6 yards per game this season. Miller has 43 tackles, including four tackles for loss, three fumble recoveries and one interception for a touchdown. Howell has 40 tackles, three sacks and three forced fumbles. Brown has a team-high four interceptions to go along with 31 tackles and six pass breakups.
