Hudson Valley Community College freshman Jameson Balich has been named an NJCAA First Team All-American, capping off a historic 2025 season for both himself and the Vikings baseball program.
Balich was the driving force behind a Vikings team that finished with a dominant 35-2 overall record, including 25-1 in Region 3 play to claim the NJCAA Region 3 East Division's top seed. His explosive offensive numbers made him one of the most feared hitters in the nation—leading all of NJCAA Division III with a .523 batting average.
The Chatham native racked up 20 multi-hit games, 57 total hits, and tied for the team lead with 7 home runs and 45 RBIs. He also paced the Vikings with a .644 on-base percentage and an .890 slugging percentage, showcasing elite discipline and power at the plate.
For his incredible performance, Balich was honored as both the NJCAA Region 3 Player of the Year and the Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year. He also secured First Team All-Region and First Team All-Conference selections before receiving national recognition with his First Team All-American nod.
Balich's freshman campaign not only solidified his status as one of the best players in the country but also helped elevate Hudson Valley's profile as one of the premier programs in junior college baseball.
