The Hudson Valley baseball team was defeated 2-1 by Anne Arundel in their first game of the 2025 season.
Hunter Stolov started the game for the Vikings and recorded 15 outs. A fielder's choice by Carson Jenkins-Antle put the Vikings on the board in the top of the fourth but Anne Arundel tied the game at one in the bottom of the seventh.
Jenkins-Antle led the Vikings with one run batted in. Logan Norman, Tyree Jackson, Matthew Carrera, and Aidan Heffner each collected one hit for the Vikings. Jackson stole three bases. The Vikings ran wild on the base paths, piling up four stolen bases for the game. There were zero errors in the field by the Vikings. Niko Sorice had the most chances in the field with nine.
The other 4 games scheduled at Anne Arundel this weekend were cancelled due to bad weather in Maryland.
Next up for the Vikings is a game at Kingsborough on Saturday, March 8th at 12 and 3pm.
