The Hudson Valley Community College baseball team improved to 23-7 after sweeping Mohawk Valley on Tuesday afternoon at Joe Bruno Stadium on the campus of HVCC.
GAME ONE: Hudson Valley 21, Mohawk Valley 4 (Final – 5 Innings)
As a team, the Vikings had a record day as they scored 21 runs on 16 hits, the most runs the baseball team has scored since the Vikings put up 22 runs in a 22-0 win against Jefferson on May 5, 2019.
Tyree Jackson and Brendan Connolly led the way at the plate as they each tallied three hits. The du0 combined to go 6-of-7 with five runs scored and five RBIs. Colin Lynch also finished the first game with three RBIs on two hits.
GAME TWO: Hudson Valley 4, Mohawk Valley 1 (Final)
The second game was much more competitive with the Vikings closing out the season series with a win in game two. Pitcher, Jimmy Wilson earned the win as he tossed six innings and allowed one run on six hits with 11 strikeouts. William Baumann closed out the final inning to earn his first save of the season.
At the plate, Hudson Valley was led by Alex Marino and Matthew Carrera, who each finished with two hits. Marino also scored two runs and joined Tyree Jackson as the only two players to record an extra-base hit in game two.

The baseball program returns to Region 3 action on Thursday, May 2 as they travel to take on nationally-ranked Herkimer at 11 a.m. in Little Falls, NY.
