The Hudson Valley Community College baseball team continued its tough week as they dropped two more games this week after being swept on the road by SUNY Adirondack on Thursday evening in Queensbury, NY.

GAME ONE: Adirondack 7, Hudson Valley 5 (Final)

The baseball team put together a big fourth inning with five runs in response to their early 4-0 deficit to the Timberwolves, but the home team rallied in the bottom of the fourth to score three more runs, which ultimately were the winning runs as Hudson Valley was shutout in the final three innings.

The Vikings allowed extra at-bats to a quality Adirondack team as they accumulated four errors in the game and gave up five unearned runs, which proved to be the difference in the game. Aidan Chrysler led the way with two runs batted in. Anthony Rizzo, Connor Waiting and Tyree Jackson each collected two hits.

GAME TWO: Adirondack 2, Hudson Valley 1 (Final)

In the final game of the day, the Vikings found themselves in a pitching duel once again and an unfortunate error in the seventh inning allowed Adirondack score two runs for the walk-off win to complete the sweep.

Jimmy Wilson had a strong performance on the mound as he tossed 6.2 innings, giving up two runs (zero earned) on two hits and 10 strikeouts. Offensively, Brendan Connolly and Jackson collected the lone two hits by the Vikings.

ON DECK:

The Vikings and Adirondack will bring the series to Joe Bruno Stadium this Saturday, April 20th to close out the season series. The doubleheader is currently scheduled for a 12 p.m. start in Troy, NY.
