The Hudson Valley Community College baseball program continued to prove they are one of the top NJCAA programs in the nation as the No. 10 ranked Vikings swept Cayuga for its 15th and 16th consecutive wins behind two phenomenal pitching performances on Tuesday afternoon at Joe Bruno Stadium.

GAME ONE: #10 Hudson Valley 5, Cayuga 1 (Final)

The Vikings starting pitcher, Hunter Stolov was as dominant as ever as he improved to 4-0 on the year after tossing a complete game with 11 strikeouts. Stolov gave up seven hits and one run (his first earned run of the season) and walked just one batter.

The dominant pitching performance allowed the Vikings offense to go to work as they scored five runs in the final two innings to secure the win. Brendan Connolly collected three hits, including a 2 RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Ethan Pues had the big hit for the Vikings in the bottom of the fifth inning, which erased the 1-0 deficit and gave the Vikings the 2-1 advantage. Pues singled through the shortstop which allowed Colin Lynch and Connolly to score.

GAME TWO: #10 Hudson Valley 4, Cayuga 0 (Final)

Following a pitching gem by Stolov, his lefty counterpart, Andrew Wilson decided to bring the Vikings pitching dominance to a new level as he tossed a complete game shutout and struck out a career-high 16 batters in the win. Wilson improves to 4-0 on the year as well after allowing just four hits over seven innings.

At the plate, three Vikings led the way with two hits apiece. Colin Lynch, Jayden Kennedy and Tyree Jackson all tallied two hits as they combined to go 6-for-8 at the plate and drove in two runs. Kennedy recorded the Vikings only extra-base hit, a double in the bottom of the fourth inning.
