The Hudson Valley Community College baseball program went on the road and claimed two wins to complete the series sweep over Kingsborough Community College on Sunday afternoon in Brooklyn, NY.

The baseball program improves to 3-1 on the season, the program's best start under fifth-year head coach Josh Parrow.

GAME ONE: Hudson Valley 6, Kingsborough 1 (Final)

As a team, the Vikings accumulated eight hits and were led by Connor Waiting and Brendan Connolly, who each tallied two hits. Hudson Valley jumped on the board first when Colin Lynch scored on a sacrifice fly by Tyree Jackson.

The big inning came in the top of the fifth inning when the Vikings put four runs on the board and extended its lead to 5-0. In the fifth, Ethan Pues started the inning with a double down the left field line. Connolly immediately followed it up with a bunt single to third. Following a sacrifice by Aidan Chrysler to advance the runners, the very next batter, Matthew Carrera connected for the big hit, a double to center field, which allowed Pues and Connolly to score. Carrera later scored on a flyout by Anthony Rizzo for the Vikings third run of the inning. Following Rizzo's at-bat, Waiting launched a double to center field and later scored on a Kingsborough error on a Jeremy Taggart fly ball to right field.

On the mound, Hunter Stolov earned the win for the Vikings as he gave up zero runs on five hits in six full innings. Stolov struck out six batters and walked two before William Baumann entered the game in relief. Baumann closed out the remainder of the game, tossing one inning and allowed one run on run hit with one walk and a strikeout to secure the Vikings series opening win.

GAME TWO: Hudson Valley 15, Kingsborough 4 (Final)

In the final game of the series, the Hudson Valley bats came to life as they were led by Waiting and Jayden Kennedy. Kennedy finished the game hitting 3-of-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Waiting had another multi-hit game, finishing 2-of-4 with two runs and two RBIs.

The Vikings had five extra-base hits with Brayden Mann, Lynch and Kennedy each recorded a double, while Waiting and Niko Sorice connected for big fly home runs to help paced the Vikings offense. Six Vikings tallied two RBIs in the game, which resulted in the Vikings highest offensive output (15 runs) since they defeated SUNY Broome 19-1 last season.

Andrew Wilson earned the win after coming into the game in the second inning. Wilson tossed five complete innings and allowed only two hits while striking out six batters. Daniel Paton finished the final inning, allowing two runs on three hits.
