The Vikings went on to score three runs in each of the third, fourth and fifth innings to put the game away with the 10-run advantage. Talavera led the way with four hits (4-of-4) on the day, including a two-run home run in the fourth inning over the left field wall.

Cole Flannery earned his first win of the season as he allowed just four hits and two runs over three innings, striking out four batters. Richie Tamsett entered the game in relief and tossed the final two innings of the game to help the Vikings secure the win.
