The Hudson Valley Community College baseball team (8-2) defeated SUNY Adirondack (5-15) 15-2 and 11-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Andrew McCullough (Bethelehem/Delmar) threw five innings, allowing only two hits on seven strikeouts in game one, and Clayton Leisenfelder (Colonie/Albany) threw six innings of two-hit baseball in game two, earning the Vikings a pair of wins over the Timberwolves. Darren Conte (Hudson/Hudson) continued his hot hitting streak, going 4-6 on the day with four RBIs as Hudson Valley tallied more than 30 hits on the day.
The Vikings host Adirondack for a doubleheader tomorrow at noon.
