The Hudson Valley Community College baseball team (6-6) split with Mohawk Valley Community College (5-5) on Tuesday afternoon. The Vikings lost game one, 13-4, but came back in game two to win, 9-2.
The Vikings gave up a four-run lead in the fifth and six innings to fall to Mohawk Valley. Charles Parslow (Fonda-Fultonville/Fonda) and Bradley Adams (Catholic Central/Troy) each had two hits, including a double and RBI apiece in the loss.
The game was tied at two after two innings in game two before the Vikings broke it open with seven runs to close out the game. Adams led the team with three hits, and Brett Fenton (Catholic Central/Troy) added two hits and two runs scored. Anthony Scaccia (Voorheesville/Voorheesville) had two hits, including a solo homerun, and Eric Mueller (Bethlehem/Glenmont) recorded two hits and three RBIs in the win.
The Vikings travel to Mohawk Valley on Thursday for a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
