In game two, Hudson Valley found itself down two runs heading into the bottom of the fourth. A two-run triple by Luke Burns (Delaware Academy/Bovina) put the Vikings ahead 4-2, and another run later in the inning capped off a five-run fourth inning. Joe Amorosi (Schalmont/Rotterdam) reached base four times, going 3-3 at the plate with a hit by pitch. Jefferson's late rally was stopped short as Josh Johnson (Tamarac/Wynantskill) settled in on the mound and struck out the final batter with runners in scoring position. Randy Bowers (Bethlehem/Portsmouth, VA) picked up the win pitching six innings with six strikeouts.
The men travel to Jefferson for another double-header tomorrow, April 10 at 1 p.m.
