Sophomore Nate Novak (Hudson/Hudson High School) pitched six scoreless innings to lead the Hudson Valley Community College (9-10/6-1 Region III) baseball team to a 10-0 win at Schenectady County Community College (4-8/4-1 Region III).
Novak allowed just one hit to pick up his third win of the season. He struck out nine and walked four.
Hudson Valley capitalized off five Schenectady errors in the fifth inning, scoring seven runs to break the game open. Sophomore catcher Nick Barbera (Niskayuna/Niskayuna High School) hit a two-run double in the inning and finished the game three-for-four with three RBI.
Freshman Zac Kozersky (Victory Mills/Schuylerville High School) was three-for-four with a double and an RBI and freshman Scott Robinson (Schenectady/Mohonasen High School) added two hits and an RBI.
