Troy - The Tri-City ValleyCats and the Hudson Valley Community College baseball team will host their second annual baseball clinic for coaches and kids on Saturday, February 21, and Sunday, February 22, on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College.
ValleyCats Pitching Coach Bill Ballou and General Manager Rick Murphy will be offering tips and insights for coaches of all levels from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, February 21 in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center. The cost of the coach's clinic is $20.
The kids' clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday, February 22, in the McDonough Sports Complex. Hitting and fielding instruction will be offered to children between the ages of 8 and 14. Admission to the kids' clinic is $35.
"This is our second year hosting this event," Murphy said. "We're excited about it. It's a great opportunity for kids and coaches alike to pick up some new tips and get a jump on the season."
"The clinic is a great opportunity for area coaches and kids to learn from some of the best baseball minds in the Capital Region," Hudson Valley Director of Athletics Drew Marrochello said.
