As president of Hudson Valley from 1998 to 2003, Buono oversaw the construction of the Joseph L. Bruno Stadium and provided support for 2+2 Physical Education program with Sage College of Albany. During his tenure, he was a diehard supporter of Hudson Valley athletics and its teams.
