A two-time Region III tennis champion at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, Maria Gutierrez was a perfect 19-0 in singles and 19-0 in doubles matches in Region III play during her two-year career. She advanced to the NJCAA tournament in 1997 and 1998.
