Russell Hilton earned All-American honors in 1984 and 1985 for lacrosse. He was named the NJCAA Player of the Year in 1985 and won the 1985 Eugene Devine Award, given by the National Lacrosse Coaches Association. Hilton established a new NJCAA career record with 235 points, and the school record for most goals in a game with 10 against Onondaga Community College. After graduation, Hilton earned a lacrosse scholarship to Saint John’s University where he garnered NCAA Honorable Mention All-American accolades following the 1989 season. He also was selected to play in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association North-South game.
