As captain of the men’s basketball team, Matthew Kupic earned All-Conference and All-Region III honors after leading Hudson Valley to an Empire State Conference championship in the 1961-62 season. He posted a 117-86 record as the Hudson Valley men’s basketball coach from 1971-79.
