As a captain and Most Valuable Player of the 1968-69 wrestling team, Ronald Tatar led the team in dual meets and tournament victories. He was the Region III champion in the 137-pound weight class in 1969. He was a two-time finalist at the Collar City Classic, winning the 137 pound title in 1969. Tatar received the Thomas Cahill Memorial Award in 1968 as the college’s most outstanding male athlete. After leaving Hudson Valley, Tatar finished his education and collegiate wrestling career at Central Connecticut State University.
