A two-year starter at shortstop for Hudson Valley, Vincent Carnevale earned NJCAA baseball All-American honors in 1970 after hitting .392 and committing only two errors in the field. He established a school record with 11 doubles in a season. He also earned All-Region III accolades and was named to the Topps Chewing Gum All-American Team. Carnevale was a defensive back on Hudson Valley’s first football team in 1969. He received the Thomas Cahill Memorial Award in 1970 as the school’s most outstanding male athlete.
