Hudson Valley Vikings Sweep Region and Conference Titles with Dozens of All-Region and All-Conference Honors

The Hudson Valley Community College men's and women's track and field teams completed a historic 2025 season, sweeping both the Mountain Valley Conference Championships and NJCAA Region 3 Championships. Under the leadership of Head Coach Jeffrey York, who was named Men's and Women's Coach of the Year, the Vikings showed dominance across sprints, distance, field events, and relays.

Women's Team

Athena Seebald led the charge, earning All-Region and All-Conference honors in an incredible four events: the 800m, 1500m, 10K, and 3000m steeplechase. Her outstanding performance earned her the title of Women's Track Athlete of the Year. She also contributed to the All-Conference 4x400 relay team.

Other All-Region performers included:

  • Inara Bradford – 100m

  • Sophia Fantauzzi – 5000m

  • Emily Wilson – 400m hurdles

  • Alivia Cochran – Shot put

  • Jessica Slingerland – Hammer throw

  • Meghan Cowles – Javelin

  • 4x100 Relay – Omoya, Wilson, Dunlavey, Bradford

  • 4x400 Relay – Omoya, Wilson, Dunlavey, Seebald

All-Conference honors went to:

  • Abigale Dunlavey – 100m hurdles

  • Jessica Slingerland – Discus (in addition to hammer throw)

  • Meghan Cowles – Javelin

  • Alivia Cochran – Shot put

  • Sophia Fantauzzi – 5000m

  • Inara Bradford – 100m

  • Emily Wilson – 400m hurdles

Men's Team

The men's team mirrored the women's dominance with a deep list of All-Region and All-Conference honorees.

All-Region performers included:

  • Jair Oliva – 200m, 400m

  • Xavier Hughes – 400m hurdles

  • Nick Rushford – 110m hurdles

  • Cole Harris – 3000m steeplechase

  • Camryn Curet – Decathlon, Long jump

  • Makai Gordon – High jump

  • Dylan Izzo – Javelin

  • 4x100 Relay – Omoya, Wilson, Dunlavey, Bradford

  • 4x400 Relay – Khamani, Hughes, Oliver, Oliva

All-Conference honors went to:

  • Michael Kleitman – 1500m

Together, the Vikings collected dozens of All-Conference and All-Region awards, showcasing the program's incredible depth and competitiveness. With dominant performances across all event groups and elite-level coaching, Hudson Valley has firmly established itself as one of the top NJCAA track and field programs in the country.
