NJCAA Moves Majority of Fall Sports to Spring; Updated Action Plan

2020-21 NJCAA Updated Plan of Action

The NJCAA has announced its adjusted plan of action for the upcoming 2020-21 academic year as voted on by the NJCAA Board of Regents on Monday, July 13, 2020, a majority of fall sports will be moved to the spring 2021 semester. 

The approved plan shifts all close-contact fall sports to the spring semester. These sports include football, men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball. The men's and women's cross country championships as well as the women's tennis championships are expected to proceed as originally scheduled as a fall 2020 championship season. 

All winter sports, men's and women's basketball and men's and women's bowling are expected to begin competition in January at the start of the spring semester.

Hudson Valley is scheduled to host the 2021 NJCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 6-8, 2021.
