Three Hudson Valley student-athletes garnered NJCAA Region III Player of the Week honors for their athletic success during the week of Aug. 27 – Sept. 2, 2018.

Football's John Daly earned his first player of the week honor in his career after his record-breaking day against Nassau on Sept. 1. Daly broke the Vikings single-game receptions record with his 13 catches for 212 yards and two touchdowns. Daly's 212 receiving yards are the second most in program history, trailing John Niles's 222 receiving yards against Potomac State in 1985.

Mercedes Planavsky (Ballston Spa/Ballston Spa) earned the women's cross country player of the week honor following her 15thplace finish at the SUNY Poly Invitational on Sept. 1. Out of 72 total runners, she was the Vikings top finisher with a final time of 18:08 in the 4K race.

Jared Craw (Colonie/Colonie) was named the men's cross country player of the week honors following his 14thplace finish at the SUNY Poly Invitational. Craw finished the 6K race with a final time of 20:20, which led all Region 3 participants.
