The Hudson Valley Community College women's volleyball team (5-8) lost its match 3-0 (25-11, 25-23, 25-22) at Herkimer on Wednesday night.

As a team, the Vikings accumulated 28 kills, 20 assists, six blocks and 88 digs in the three set match. Alayna Fredenburg (Rotterdam/Schalmont) finished with a double-double as she accumulated a team-high 12 kills on 29 attempts for a .276 hitting percentage and tallied 21 digs.

Megan Woods (Averill Park/Averill Park) joined Fredenburg as the only Vikings to surpass 20 digs in the match as she finished with a team-high 24 digs. Danielle Pardo (Averill Park/Averill Park) recorded all 20 of the Vikings assists and Olivia Fischer (Averill Park/Averill Park) added 16 digs and three kills against the Generals.

The Vikings are back in pod play this weekend and will travel to Onondaga Community College for three matches against Cayuga, Jefferson and host Onondaga on Saturday, Sept. 30.
