Hudson Valley Community College men's soccer (8-5) closed out the 2018 regular season with a 2-1 win on the road at Jefferson on Sunday afternoon.

The Vikings were led by Sylvain Ngako (Yaounde, Cameroon, Lycée Technique Ekounou) and Giovanni Audi (Colonie/Colonie) as they each scored a goal in the win. Sophomore Nicholas Savallo (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) recorded two assists as each goal came as a direct result of his precision passing in the second half. 

Goalkeeper Kyle Mercier (Glenville/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) allowed one goal and recorded two saves to earn the win 

The men's soccer team has earned the No. 9 seed in the NJCAA Region 3 tournament and will travel to play No. 8 seed Mohawk Valley on Tuesday, October 23 at 3 p.m.
