The Hudson Valley Community College baseball team (7-7) split with Mohawk Valley Community College (6-6) on Thursday afternoon. The Vikings won game one, 10-5, but then dropped game two, 6-3.
Casey Cohan (Saratoga Catholic/Saratoga) led the Vikings with two hits and two RBIs in game one. Eric Mueller (Bethlehem/Glenmont) added a triple and three RBIs, while Anthony Scaccia (Voorheesville/Voorheesville) earned the win on the mound, going five strong innings.
Hudson Valley trailed in the second game and couldn't make up the ground. Cameron Bow (Mt. Anthony Union/Shaftsbury, VT) had two hits, and Joseph Bender (Guilderland/Guilderland) and Cohan each recorded a hit to bring in the Vikings three runs in the loss.
The baseball team travels to Fulton-Montgomery on Saturday for a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
