The Hudson Valley Community College baseball team (10-11) took both games of a double-header over Jefferson Community College (2-16), 3-2 and 9-5, on Sunday, April 10.
Nick Papas (Maple Hill/Castleton) led the Vikings in game one, going 1-2 at the plate with an RBI. In game two, Jake DePietro's (Kingston/Kingston) big game at the plate helped pace Hudson Valley to a win. DePietro went 3-4 with a two-run homerun and four RBIs. Chris Massaroni (Voorheesville/Voorheesville) was 2-4 with two RBIs, and Tyler Young (Shaker/Latham) also chipped in two hits in the victory. Two road wins capped off a 4-0 weekend for the Vikings who are just one game shy of pulling to .500.
The men haven't lost since leaving South Carolina on their spring trip and look to continue the streak with games at Schenectady County Community College on Tuesday, April 12 starting at 2 p.m.
