The Hudson Valley Community College baseball team (5-4, 2-2) hosted Finger Lakes Community College in a doubleheader on Sunday. This marked the team's first home contest of the season.
The Vikings shutout Finger Lakes, 10-0, in the first game, before dropping the second game, 5-4. On the season, Tyler Rose (Columbia HS/Rensselaer) leads the team in offense, with a .440 batting average, including two home runs and eight RBIs. Aaron Tilley (Troy HS/Troy) leads the pitching attack, giving up no runs in 13 innings pitched, and striking out 14.
The team is back in action this Thursday when it hosts Erie Community College.
