The Hudson Valley Community College (7-8) baseball team scored five runs in the seventh inning and held on to defeat The College of Saint Rose (0-1) junior varsity team on Thursday evening in Troy.
Freshmen Ben Bushey (Hoosick Falls/Hoosick Falls High School) and Andrew Brickwedel (Troy/Catholic Central High School) each had two-run doubles for the Vikings during the seventh inning. Bushey finished the game three-for-five and drove in four runs. Freshman Nate Novak (Hudson/Hudson High School) also had three hits and a double for Hudson Valley.
Hudson Valley will return home to face Finger Lakes Community College in a doubleheader at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 1.
