The Hudson Valley Community College (6-2) baseball team allowed four runs in the sixth inning of a 9-7 loss to Rappahannock Community College (12-6) in the opening game of a doubleheader on Tuesday. Hudson Valley rebounded to take the nightcap, 7-4.
Freshman Tom Zink had an RBI double and a two-run home run to lead Hudson Valley past Rappahannock in the nightcap. Sophomore pitcher William Lewis tossed five scoreless innings to start the contest.
Sophomore Joel Molina had a double and two RBI for Hudson Valley in the opening game.
