The Hudson Valley Community College women's volleyball team concluded its 2022 season with a pair of defeats in the Mountain Valley Conference Championships, hosted by Fulton-Montgomery, on Saturday in Johnstown, NY.

The Vikings earned a spot in the conference championships after defeated Mohawk Valley and Herkimer in the Mohawk Valley pod last week. They faced off against the top-ranked Fulton-Montgomery team and were defeated in straight sets 3-0.

In the match against the Raiders, the Vikings were led by Alyssa Bruno, who finished the match with three kills and one solo block. Skyler Kennedy added seven assists while Tatianah Zeigler finished the match with a team-best 10 digs.

In the consolation match, the Vikings competed against SUNY Adirondack and pushed they to four sets, but were defeated 3-1. In the four-set match with the Timberwolves, the Vikings were led by Regina Salazar-Ware, who finished with a team-best six kills. Adrianna Diaz-Rolon finished with a team-best 25 digs and Zeigler added 16 digs. Hudson Valley gave a great defensive effort as they totaled over 80 digs in the four-set match.

The 2022 volleyball season is now in the books and it was an overall successful season as they qualified for the Mountain Valley Conference tournament as a top-4 seed. They also improved upon their win total from a season ago as they finished 2022 with a final regular season record of 7-15.
