The Hudson Valley Community College women's volleyball program fought hard but came up short against a top-ranked Fulton-Montgomery program 3-0 on Wednesday evening inside the McDonough Sports Complex.

Despite the straight-set defeat, the Vikings had several great moments as the overall momentum continued to swing back-and-forth between the two quality programs. As a team, the Vikings combined for 15 kills, 10 assists and 15 digs over the course of the three-set match.

Offensively, the Vikings were led by Jasyn Addison, who finished the game with five kills on 17 attempts and added two digs. Adrianna Diaz-Rolon helped the defense transition into the offensive sets with five digs. Kendra Skervin and Veah Daigle-Vellon each tallied three digs. Skyler Kennedy tallied nine assists and led the team with two solo blocks.

The Vikings hits the road this weekend as they return to Region 3 pod play at Corning Community College this Saturday, Sept. 24 as they are scheduled to take on host Corning, Tompkins Cortland and Broome.
