Volleyball Wins in Straight Sets over Mohawk Valley

The Hudson Valley Community College women's volleyball team defeated Mohawk Valley in straight sets (3-0) on Wednesday evening in the McDonough Sports Complex. 

The Vikings combined for 16 kills, 12 assists and a season-high 15 service aces in the three-set match win against conference rival Mohawk Valley.

Leading the way for Hudson Valley's offense was Alyssa Brunowho finished with a team-high eight kills with zero attack errors. Bruno also finished a team-best three solo blocks. Riley McGinn continues to pass the ball well and setting up her teammates for successful attacking opportunities. She finished the match with all 12 of the Vikings assists.

Alyse Vogt also showed off a powerful serve, which she recorded six of the Vikings' 15 service aces.

Upcoming Schedule

The Vikings now enter a 10-day break and will return to action on Saturday, October 9th when they travel to Watertown for a 12 p.m. showdown with a strong Jefferson program.
