Volleyball defeated in straight sets on 9/11/21

The Hudson Valley Community College women's volleyball team traveled to compete in tri-match event with matches against New Hampshire Technical Institute (NHTI) and the host Paul Smith's College on Saturday afternoon in Paul Smith's, NY.

Match 1: NHTI - 3, Vikings - 0 

The Vikings combined for 13 kills, 9 assists and four service aces in the three-set loss to NHTI. 

Leading the way for Hudson Valley's offense was Alyssa Brunowho finished with a team-high five kills. Alynna Kanaby finished with four kills on 14 attempts and finished with a positive attack percentage. Lynette Okoth led the team with two services aces, while Riley McGinn recorded eight of the team's nine assists during the three-set match. 

Match 2: Paul Smith's - 3, Vikings - 0 

The Vikings combined for nine kills, six assists and a season-best eight service aces against Paul Smith's. 

Leading the way for the Vikings was Okoth, who finished with a team-high four kills and added a service ace. McGinn posted six assists, while Bruno finished with three kills and Alyse Vogt had two kills. 

Upcoming Schedule

The volleyball team is home this Wednesday, Sept. 15 as they welcome Fulton-Montgomery for a mid-week Mountain Valley Conference match. The match is set to begin at 6 p.m. in the McDonough Sports Complex.
