The Mountain Valley Conference (MVC) released the 2018 Volleyball All-Conference team. The Vikings sophomore outside hitter, Kirstin Wood (Colonie/Colonie) was named to the MVC First-Team after accumulating the third most points as voted on by the conference coaches.

Wood was the leader on and off the court for the 2018-19 season as she led the team with 188 kills and 77 service aces. Wood’s 77 service aces led all of NJCAA Region III. She also placed second on the team with her career-best 291 digs.

Wood improved her game to become a more complete player this season as she improved upon her freshman season statistics in all major statistical categories. Wood tallied 127 more kills, 92 more digs, and 52 more service aces this year compared to her freshman season a year ago.
