Hudson Valley Community College women's volleyball (4-10) dropped their final game of the 2018 season in four sets to Orange at home in McDonough Sports Complex on Thursday evening. 

In the four sets, the Vikings combined for 25 kills, 13 assists and 41 digs. Kirstin Wood (Colonie/Colonie) led the Vikings attack with a combined 8 kills and three digs. Jessica Getty (Hartford/Hartford) played very well with seven kills, three service aces and four solo blocks. 

Laura Grippin (Berne/Berne-Knox-Westerlo) finished with a team-high 17 digs. Madeline Jenkins finished the match with eight digs and added two service aces for the Vikings. 

The Vikings volleyball season comes to a close. It is never too early to start thinking about next season. If you are interested in playing volleyball next season, please contact Coach Wilson at k.wilson@hvcc.edu.
