Hudson Valley Community College women's volleyball (1-7) was defeated on the road in straight sets against Adirondack on Wednesday evening. 

In the three sets, the Vikings combined for 17 kills, 17 assists and 26 digs. Kirstin Wood (Colonie/Colonie) led the Vikings with seven kills on 17 attempts and 15 digs. 

Shayla Pfendler (Ava/Adirondack) and Henna Matin (Waterford/Waterford-Halfmoon) combined for 14 assists with each accumulating seven assists.  

Laura Grippin (Berne/Berne-Knox-Westerlo) added five digs to go with her team-high three service aces. 

The Vikings volleyball team is back in action this Saturday, September 22 when they travel to play Broome, Tomokins Cortland and Corning at the Adirondack Pod in Queensbury, NY.
