Tennis Falls on road vs Camden

The Hudson Valley Community College women's tennis team was defeated 5-4 against Camden in its final day of the Rowan College of South Jersey – Gloucester Showcase in Sewell, NJ.

The Vikings had a tough outing in the doubles portion of the match as they went 0-3 but they performed well on the singles stage and were once again led by Hudson Valley's top-seeded player, Keely Legnard. Legnard won her singles flight in straight sets, defeating her opponent 6-2, 6-3.

Aubrie Murphy won her singles match for the second consecutive match and defeated her opponent 6-4. 6-4. Sidney Phillips won as the No. 5 singles flight, defeating her opponent in straight sets, 6-1. 6-1 and Ckailea Kewley handled her business, winning 7-5, 6-1.

The tennis team doesn't have a break as they are back in action tomorrow, Monday, April 15th as they welcome Castleton University to campus for a match beginning at 4 p.m. at the HVCC tennis courts.
