The Hudson Valley Community College women's soccer earned a critical NJCAA Region 3 win as they defeated SUNY Adirondack 1-0 at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus of HVCC on Wednesday evening.
The game featured a lot of back and forth with the Vikings controlling the momentum for the majority of the game. However, Hudson Valley couldn't break through until Lauren Foglia sent a shot to the upper-right corner of the net for the only goal of the game. Foglia was the beneficiary of a great pass and assist from Taylor Johnson, who found Foglia open on the left side of the box.
Goalkeeper Josephine O'Hare recorded her 100th save of the season with three saves on the eveing and earned her sixth fifth shutout win of the year.
Up next for the women's soccer program is another critical NJCAA Region 3 match as they look to lock up a top-8 seed in the Region 3 playoffs. Hudson Valley will travel to take on Fulton-Montgomery on Saturday, October 14 at 1 p.m. in Johnstown, NY.
