Women's Soccer Falls at Home vs. Pharmacy

The Hudson Valley Community College women's soccer team dropped its home match 3-0 against Albany College of Pharmacy on Thursday evening at the Outdoor Athletic Complex.

The two programs fought to a 1-1 tie at the half time break. Hudson Valley put a goal on the board first as Anthony Rouse collected an assist from Abbas Ghulam for the score at the 11-minute mark. 

Pharmacy's Julia Roemer scored all three goals for the Panthers. The Vikings had several opportunities with Maggie Ryan leading the charge with five shots on goal and Marilyn Decker added three shots on goal, but the Panthers keeper kept a clean sheet with 15 saves on the night. 

The Vikings return to action next Wednesday, September 21 as they travel to take on North Country at 2 p.m. The Vikings next home game is Sunday, September 25 for Homecoming Weekend, and they will host Herkimer at 3 p.m.
