Women?s Bowling Concludes Conference Play at Adirondack

The Hudson Valley Community College women's bowling team participated in and placed second at the final Mountain Valley Collegiate Conference match of the season, hosted by Adirondack on Friday afternoon in South Glens Fall, N.Y.

In the 18 conference matches this season, Hudson Valley knocked down a total of 16,327 pins for a per game average score of 168.29. The Vikings earned a second place finish in the overall conference standings, trailing only Schenectady County Community College and recorded an overall match play record of 17-7.

Kyla Day (Hoosick Falls/Hoosick Falls) and Gina Patricelli (Troy/Lansingburgh) earned all-conference honors for the 2017-18 season. Day placed fifth in the final standings with an overall game average of 198.11. This season, Day bowled a game-high of 245 and a high-triple of 707 as the Vikings top bowlers this season.

Patricelli placed sixth overall with a 192.00 average this season. She also bowled a game-high of 220 and a high-triple of 656 in her 18 conference matches.

Shannon Bristol (Troy/Lansingburgh) finished 12th in the overall standings this season with a 179.61 average. Bristol bowled a game-high of 235 and a 581 high-triple in 18 matches.

The women's bowling team will now prepare for the NJCAA Region III bowling tournament on Sunday, February 18.
