Women's bowling finished third in Schenectady Invitational

The Hudson Valley Community College women's bowling team participated in and placed third at the Schenectady Invitational, hosted by Schenectady County Community College on Sunday afternoon in Schenectady, NY.

As a team, the Vikings tallied 6,328 total pins in the five-team tournament. Hudson Valley scored 4,568 pins in their single series matches and scored 1,760 pins in the baker games.

Gina Patricelli (Troy/Lansingburgh), Kaylie Hull (Troy/Lansingburgh) and Kyla Day (Hoosick Falls/Hoosick Falls) all finished inside the top-10 overall. Patricelli placed second and recorded a game-high of 224 and an all-events score of 1,044. Hull finished fifth overall and bowled a game-high of 265 and had an all-events score of 981. Day earned ninth place with an all-events score of 905 and bowled a game-high of 201.

Shannon Bristol (Troy/Lansingburgh) finished just outside the top-10, in 11th place with a total all-events score of 879. Bristol also recorded a game-high of 196 with an average game score of 175.8.

The women's bowling team is back on the road on Friday, Feb. 9 as they participate in the conference match hosted by SUNY Adirondack in South Glens Falls, NY.
