Women’s Bowling Finishes Fifth in Westchester Shootout

The Hudson Valley Community College women's bowling team participated in and placed fifth at the Westchester Shootout, hosted by Westchester County Community College on Saturday afternoon in Fishkill, NY

As a team, the Vikings tallied 7,004 total pins in the 10-team tournament. Hudson Valley scored 2,606 pins in their doubles series games, added 2,737 pins during their single series matches and scored 1,661 pins in 10 baker games.

Kyla Day (Hoosick Falls/Hoosick Falls) finished seventh in the overall all-events standings with 1,203 total pins. Day also placed third in singles play as she recorded a game-high 245 and a series-high of 673. Day teamed up with Megan Gaige (Colonie/South Colonie) for the doubles round and placed 14th overall as the duo recorded a score of 1,056

Gina Patricelli (Troy/Lansingburgh) finished in 25th place in the all-events standings with 1,044 total pins. Patricelli teamed up with Shannon Bristol for the doubles portion and finished in 16th place with a score of 1,019.

The women's bowling team is back in action next weekend, Feb. 3 as they participate in the Boulevard Classic, hosted by Schenectady County Community College.
