Women’s Bowling Places Second in Conference Match

The Hudson Valley Community College women's bowling participated in its first conference match of the season and placed second among the six members of the Mountain Valley Collegiate Conference on Wednesday evening.  

The team combined to strike down a total of 4,932 pins with a 822.00 team average during the six game match.

The Vikings had two student-athletes earned top-match honors by finishing inside the top-6 at the conclusion of the match. Gina Patricelli (Troy/Lansingburgh) placed second with a 193.83 game average, including a game-high of 208, a series-high of 598 and knocked down 1,163 total pins. Shannon Bristol (Troy/Lansingburgh) also finished with match honors as she finished sixth with a game average of 173.50. Bristol bowled a game-high of 211 and a series-high 565 and tallied 1,041 pins.

Kyla Day (Hoosick Falls/Hoosick Falls) averaged 167.50 in six games and she recorded a game-high of 195 and a series-high of 528 with 1,005 total pins. Breanna Mysliwiec (Troy/Lansingburgh) placed 17th overall with a game average of 154, including a game-high of 178 and a series-high of 496.

Megan Gaige (Colonie/South Colonie) finished 22nd overall in the match and averaged 133.17 in her six games played. Gaige bowled a game-high of 153 and a series-high of 402 with 799 total pins.

The women's bowling team is traveling to Wappingers Falls for the Blue and Orange Classic this Saturday, Jan. 20.
